Verse 1

Mary knew the angel’s word was true,

She heard the throne, the crown, the king in you.

“The Son of God, the promise long foretold,”

A kingdom rising, not a tale retold.

She pondered more than lullabies and peace,

She knew no tyrant falls without release.

Mary knew this child would shake the earth,

Topple kings, redefine worth.

She knew the low would rise again,

And the proud would finally bend.

Mary knew —

This was God’s own rescue plan in view.

Mary knew when shepherds heard the call,

Heaven breaking through the mundane sprawl.

She sang of rulers falling from their thrones,

Of covenantal mercy fully shown.

But Israel’s hope breaking history’s gates.

Mary knew this child would judge and save,

Not just comfort hearts but command the grave.

She knew the sword would pierce her soul,

Before the kingdom reached its goal.
